Unofficial meeting of committee members

Labour day falls on 1st of May, which is the exact date for the committee members to have first ever meeting. Most of us agreed to do it on this special day as many of us do not need to get to work. We're more than willing to gather around to discuss any issues pertaining to Changkat View Condo.

Well, the plan to spend time with family, we'll do it after the meeting. For owners who had not pen down your complaint, kindly do it asap. I'll start collecting the complaint and suggestions by tomorrow noon. I hope u guys can spend more time thinking bout this. We'll discuss and later forward to relevant party for further action.

You may log on to changkatview.net and check out the issues raised by fellow owners.

My only complain now is the JMB Committee Members are dominated by Block A & B residents . Can you guys give in at least two spots for residents from other Blocks in the spirit of fairness ??!!

Dear arvindg,

First of all, i would like to check with you whether you attended the meeting? And most importantly, what do u mean by giving fairness to other block, And come on, what we have done?

There're 70 plus resident registered during the AGM. All the selection process was done in fair manner. I believe all the candidate was choosen based on their capability rather than which block they belong.

FYI, all the committe members have the same objective, is to serve the community of Changkat View and fight the right for all of us regardless of which block they belong. I don see any problem with that.

To those owner especially block C was not choosen for the committee, still can serve and their willingness to voice out are definitely most welcomed.

Maybe you can start with giving your opinion of the issues you faced in Block C instead of asking for fairness.

I think it is good for everybody to better ultilise our valuable time thinking of solving tons of problem we faced right now rather than arguing why Block C or D owner was not choosen.

You all know our post is not permanent. And we do this on volunteer basis. I'm glad that any others owners are more than ready and willing to serve the community more than us. We need to focus.

Hi arvindg

I noticed that you have raised this concern twice, but in the spirit of fairness, the nomination process was made available to all owners before and also during the AGM. The JMB committee members were appropriately selected via a simple majority election process and my personal view is that if there are residents who were interested to be part of the committee, they would have made themselves available there and then. The JMB committee members are all on voluntary basis and I tend to think that whichever block they belong to, will not impact the quality of their service as it is for the common good of all residents. This is the first JMB and I am sure once the other blocks are occupied, come next year, we might have new faces and also representation from Block C & D in the JMB. But I think what is key for now, is let us give a chance to his new JMB and hope that they can help in improving the quality of living in CV.

Hi Moderator

Thanks for maintaining this website and the good job that you are doing in compiling the issues/concerns we have as residents of CV. I hope the meeting that you will have on May 1st will be fruitful and we can see some improvements in CV.

Altho I am a resident of block A, i don't think what block we are from really matters, as most issues affect us all as common CV residents. Specific block issues, I dont think that they will not proceed with them just because they are not from that block. However at the next election, that is the platform you new members to be added in, which I assume will be after 12 months.

I m from Block C, but i believe that our new committee member will do their best to help the CV resident on raising or solving the problem that we are facing.

Dear moderator, your effort is much more appreciated. Without all your effort by created and maintaining this blog, i believe CV resident would not have such a strong connection among all of us. Thank you!

Dear Moderator,

Think that you have many supporters in here and it seems that I can't raise any issues against you or the slection of current committee even though they are valid ! Nevertheless, I am glad that I have tried ! Now I know how everything works ......

I didn't attend the meeting due to my work commitments, but my wife did . So, I know what took place .....

Anyway, good luck to the new committee members and may you achieve your objectives !

P/S :- Believe that you are also the administrator of the new forum . Probably, you have not approved my registration yet ( Signed up on Tuesday ) due to I am very vocal about some issues . That's just me an I am not a person who likes to sit down and keep quiet . If I find something is not right, then I will raise it out openly . Since you are fighting for everyone, suggest that you approve my registration the soonest . Thanks a lot !

*Solve issue instead of creating new issue

Dear Arvindg,

You are most welcome to voice any issues related to CV since you are part of the CV community. However, there are two ways to bring your message across. You can do it in a polite and reasonable way or in an arrogant and rude way. Being vocal and always speaking out one's thoughts does not justify one to criticize unfairly. The fact that you are insinuating that the moderator has not approved your registration to the new forum due to you being openly vocal clearly shows a streak of arrogance in your request. As another CV resident has rightly said "Solve issues instead of creating new issues" or if I can put it in another way is "Look for answers not problems".
